ABSTRAC
This
study about transitive and intransitive translation shift. The aims of this
study to find out the transitive and intransitive translation shift on
translation lyrics of the Japanese song to Indonesia. The process of data
collection on this study by reading the lyrics of 好きな人“Sukina Hito” by Kiroro and 千の夜を越えて“sen no yoru wo koete” by aqua timez, and
identification the transitive and intransitive translation shift on the data.
The method of this study is descriptive analysis. Based on analysis, has occurred 4 transitive
and intransitive translation shift on translation lyrics of “Sukina Hito” by
Kiroro , and 5 transitive and intransitive translation shift on translation lyrics
of “sen no yoru wo koete” by aqua timez,

I.
Introduction
Lyrics of the song
is an expression of someone about something that has been seen, heard
or experienced. In
expressing his experience, the song creator stringing the words and language
to create attraction and uniqueness of the lyric.
The translation shift is interesting
thing to study, one of them is transitive
and intransitive translation
shift. The transitive verb is a verb that
requires the object in the
sentence, and the intransitive verb is a verb that requires no object in the sentence.
On this study I interesting to analysis the
transitive and intransitive translation shift on translation lyrics of the
Japanese song to Indonesian. The aims of this study to find out the transitive
and intransitive translation shift on translation lyrics of the Japanese song
to Indonesia.
II. Method
of Study
The process of data collection on this study by reading
the lyrics of 好きな人“Sukina Hito” by
Kiroro and 千の夜を越えて“sen no yoru wo
koete” by aqua timez, and identification the transitive and intransitive
translation shift on the data. The method of this study is descriptive
analysis.

IV. Conclusion
Based on analysis, has occurred 4 transitive and
intransitive translation shift on translation lyrics of “Sukina Hito” by Kiroro
, and 5 transitive and intransitive translation shift on translation lyrics of “sen no yoru wo koete” by aqua timez,
